LSC funding allocations for 2010 - 2011
We're aware that recent LSC changes to the allocation of Adult Learner Responsive funding (ALR) have caused a great deal of concern and disruption for many of our customers. In response to this situation we've been working with a team of consultants to identify some solutions to the current situation.
We've concentrated our research on which qualifications will still be supported by the ALR funding stream, and also on identifying alternative streams of funding to help fill the gaps.
Overall Adult Learner Responsive funding has increased by 2.9%, although Developmental Learning has been cut, there are several new funding streams emerging.
Alternative funding streams
The biggest funding reductions are focused on Developmental Learning, which includes qualifications which aren't full Level 2 or 3, Skills for Life or Foundation Learning. Other areas which remain eligible for funding are Initial Teacher Training and provision for Learners with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities (LLDD).
