Byte Night
Our intrepid NCFE IT team held a Mexican theme night in aid of Action for Children. Chilli, tequila, quizzes and more tequila were had by all in a fantastic night.
They threatened to hold our beloved Strategic Management Team hostage until they reached their target of £2500.
However, it wasn't all tequila and sombreros - the team also gave up the warmth and comfort of their beds to sleep rough on the streets of Newcastle, something that thousands of young people are forced to do every night.
The great news is that they smashed their target and raised over £3250. The bad news is that we haven't seen the Strategic Management Team since.
Did we mention the tequila?
Is it a bird? Is it a plane?
No, it's NCFE staff hurtling across the river Tyne risking life and limb to raise money for a cause dear to their hearts, Marie Curie Cancer.
Our brave souls battled their fear of heights, pigeons and the North East's notoriously shocking weather to zip line across the River Tyne and raise over £1000.
Well done.
The Ministry of Silly Hats
In an effort to jazz-up our new staff photos - we thought we'd do things a bit differently and ask people to bring in a hat.
Well, we were staggered at just how many bizzare hats a group of socially well adjusted adults could produce. Cowboy hats, pirate hats. military berets...there are even rumours that our Business Development Director sported a very fetching light-up wizard hat with Mickey Mouse ears.
Do we believe them when they say the hats belong to their children? Or relics from fancy dress parties past? Hmmmm....
