Flexible resources

With vision2learn colleges can enhance their current provision using cutting-edge teaching and learning tools - without putting extra pressure on valuable classroom resources. And there’s no need to invest in the required technology as vision2learn is remotely managed and supported.

Learners can access programmes and study at their own pace at home, work, college – or wherever they have access to a computer.

Easy to use

vision2learn can be accessed through any Internet-connected PC, using either Internet Explorer 5 or Netscape 6. Learning materials are presented in PDF or Microsoft Word files, which can be easily and quickly downloaded.

Learners store test results and assignments in their own individual portfolios for future accreditation. And because vision2learn is web-based, tutors can assess learners’ work from any computer with internet access. The database capability stores progress information, course material and learner/tutor information in real time.

Integrated message and conferencing system

The integrated message and conferencing system provides browser-based access to materials, emails and chat rooms for learners and tutors.

This means learners have instant access to online support from tutors and other participants. Tutors can communicate with individuals, entire tutor groups, or even chat to fellow tutors in the online staff room.

Learner activity can be tracked and monitored, generating email reminders if a student is inactive for more than four weeks. And because vision2learn is mapped against current funding methodology, it provides a comprehensive range of auditable information.

High quality learning

vision2learn gives learners the opportunity to work towards nationally accredited qualifications, on the National Qualifications Framework.

User-friendly format

All learning materials are presented in an interactive and user-friendly format. Each unit is presented with clear learning outcomes and online support material to help all users, including tutors, learners and administrators.
